Hello,
When installing XI manually and trying to use CSP50 it fails. If you use the OVF provided, it works on installation with the key. However, if you go to Admin → Check For Updates then update to 2024R1.3 the licence stops working, and it all starts falling apart. Is this intended? If so, shouldn't there be a big warning on there saying not to update or just disable the update function altogether. Or use a separate versioning system for CSP if updates are planned?
Thanks,
Jack W.
Hey WrekinJack,
This isn't an intended interaction. Unfortunately this happened due to an oversight on our release dates. The OVA provided was a special version to include the CSP release changes. That being said the CSP changes have not yet made it in 1.3 but will be in 1.3.1. I can't give an exact date however 2024R1.3.1 will be releasing soon so that will fix the issue. Though unfortunately for the time being upgrading to 1.3 will cause the CSP licensing to no longer work. Sorry for any inconveniences this may of had.
Thanks,
Sandor G.
Hi Sandor,
No worries, thank you for confirming. I did have a slight suspicion that might be the case. Glad to see that was right. I will wait for 1.3.1 before updating again.
Thanks for the help,
Jack W.
Hi Jack,
In case you did not see the other thread on licensing, I wanted to give you an update on the upgrade situation. XI 2024R1.3 has been re-released with CSP50 license support, so you should now be able to upgrade.
If you have any issues, please let us know.
