Hello everyone,

I have recently updated my Nagios Core to version 4.5.7. Unfortunately, I didn't save the config for dark theme for the background. Can you help me where I find the file and what I have to modify to make my background dark?

Thank you!

Hey Dragisbeagy95,

I'm unsure of a config file for updating the styling, I would think it would require updating the css file but I can continue to look and get back to you on that. Notably core 4.5.7 did have a update to the styling which includes a dark background, does the question mean you had changes prior to include a dark background prior to these changes? Or is it more that after the update you are not seeing these styling changes? Here is a github link for the merge request that includes the styling changes if it helps. https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/nagioscore/compare/293b3299e597b282480591c282ec90e138612b37...402fbc402e8c42a376703bcfbbb50c15eb5539f3

Thanks,
Sandor

Hi Sandor,

I've attached the picture with light background. On the previous version it was dark. This background I want to modify.

Hey Dragisbeagy95,

I'm having a hard time seeing a dark theme on these pages even in 4.5.7 or 4.5.8. The dark theme is applying to the menu on the left side of the page for me. Is it for you as well?

These styles are coming from /usr/local/nagios/share/stylesheets/common.css. is it possible you'd made changes to this file before you did the upgrade?

@jmichaelson It would have been a good idea to save that file before upgrading to a new version. I made some changes on my current common.css but there is no difference. It's the same background.

Hi dragosneagu95,

There are a couple of dark themes on the Nagios Exchange.  Did your Core GUI look like either of these themes, before the upgrade?

Nagios Core Dark Theme only CSS

Nagios 4 Dark Theme

If this is what you need, you can find them at Exchange Search - core dark theme

@nagios-laura I have followed your two links and did the configurations but nothing have changed. I have copied the new files to my server, restarted the nagios.service, but nothing have changed. It's the same white background

Everything it's fine now. It worked. Maybe I should have deleted my cookies or try another browser. The modification haven't applied instantly. But now everything it's good now. Thank you @nagios-laura and @jmichaelson !
